Chose your department

Chose your department

You can do your internship in basically any department of our partner companies. If you like selling or developing sales strategies, an internship in the Marketing or the Sales department would be the right choice for you. If you are more of an analytical thinker and you like dealing with numbers, an internship in the Management or Finance department would be a better choice. If you like working with people, you could find your internship in the HR department.

Further information about all the departments can be found HERE.

Our process

Our process

Since 2005 IES Consulting has been helping students to find the right internship abroad. We rely on more than 200 Partner hotels and 500 Partner companies. This great variety means that students can choose from big, well-known hotel companies or small, exclusive, privately-owned houses. In terms of business internships in companies, you can choose from a huge variety starting from local start ups up to big multinational companies.

To find the perfect internship offer with one of our partner companies, our selection team will guide you through our selection process. This involves several personal interviews via phone (to check your motivation, your language skills and help you optimise your application documents). This way we can find an internship which best suits your expectations and skills. To complete the selection process, the consultant also guides you and prepares you for the official presentation of your application.

IES Consulting is more than a simple Human Resources agency. We offer supervision and coaching throughout the whole process. The consultants will guide you to the offer that suits you best and will facilitate your recruitment. We help you prepare your arrival, arrange your internship agreement and give you advice on finding an apartment. Also it is important to mention that IES Consulting’s team supports you throughout your internship abroad and is always available to contact.

Things to bear in mind

Things to bear in mind

To complete your internship successfully there are a few things that you need to take into consideration. First of all, it is important to adapt yourself gradually to your new environment. To do so you will have to show some flexibility and be open-minded to other cultures. It is perfectly understandable that you will have many social activities and make the most of you experience abroad. Be careful. Always remember your main objective should be to gain a significant work experience for the progression of your career. Show some respect to your colleagues, be punctual and most importantly, be professional.

As an intern in a hotel, never forget that you have the hotel’s reputation on your shoulders at all times, even on your days of vacation. Show some respect to the environment and the clients and most importantly follow the internal rules and remember that you are not there as a tourist.
